A word about the team: The UCLA Women’s Club Volleyball team offers the opportunity for competitive, yet fun volleyball play. Now in its 8th year, the club volleyball team is gaining status as a strong and competitive squad, placing 9th in Nationals three times, and placing 3rd in 2010 in Louisville, KY.

When do we play: The club season begins in January and runs through the second week of April. Practice starts in October and is usually held twice a week. We play league matches as well as weekend tournaments during the Winter quarter. The 2012 National Championship Tournament will be held in Kansas City, MO.

Who do we play: As part of the Southern California Collegiate Volleyball League (SCCVL), home and away matches are played against USC, Santa Barbara, UC Irvine, UC San Diego and Long Beach State. Club tournaments in San Diego, Las Vegas, Davis and San Jose allow us to compete against Northern California teams such as Cal Poly and Santa Clara, and out-of-state teams such as Oregon, Illinois, Michigan and Arizona.

Who is eligible to play: All women enrolled as UCLA students, with a love for the game and a willingness to be dedicated, are eligible and encouraged to try out for the team.
